Hello! I’m Belinda. I’m a mom, writer, knitter and yarn hoarder 🧶, art lover, and perpetual Prince fan. As a lover of all things requiring artistic creative energy, I use creativity to escape the perils of city life.
I see myself as a writer who believes in the quiet power of both playful and visceral wordplay. My relationship with writing began at an early age—shaped by taking the typewriter my dad gave me to the park and writing stories.000 about children with telekinetic powers.
The first time I shared my work publicly was in high school. A poem I wrote about the visual freedom of a blind child, for entry in a statewide poetry contest, received the award in the finals—an early affirmation that gave me the confidence to trust my writing voice.
That moment continues to guide my creative works today. Through soul-bearing words and mindful creations, I create and write to elevate myself and others to grow into stronger, more fluid versions of ourselves—without pressure, without internal or external judgment, and without toxic noise.
The constant stress of navigating city life and life in this world in general had me spinning and drained. To combat the stress, I’ve always created different forms of art, craft, and environmental calm to draw more peaceful, joy-filled moments into my world when things got rough. I finally decided to step out of the shadows of introvert-life. I want to share and help others who may be experiencing the same stressors I faced to find ways to escape the emotional treadmill and create more moments of rest, security, and serenity. ✨♥️✨
